Krishna Kanta Handidui Open University was coming with a motive to provide the higher education in research and technical science for all the citizens of the state. This is a state university which was established in 2005. In the same year , this was established by the Assam Legislative Assembly. Education is very important for the Nation Development. There are many open universities are established for provides the education for that kind of people who can go to colleges for their study with some regions.

The university has its headquarter in Guwahati. The university started its functioning after the joining of Prof. Srinath Baruah who handles the departments of Economics and he was the vice chancellor of the Gauhati University. The university has many departments for the under graduation and post graduation degree courses. The degree courses are B.A., B. Tech, B. Com, B. Sc, BBA, BCA , MBA, MCA, M. Com , M. Tech etc. The university has several departments science, commerce,  Microbiology, Nano science, engineering research etc.

KKHSOU Results 2013 2014 2015 :-

The degree courses  exams are done in semester format. The exams are successfully conducted. The university has a library system in which all research, general books are available. The results will be declared very soon in June. The students will be shown  their result on the official website at www.kkhsou.in.
