Eligibility: The applicant for admission should be a resident Indian National and should have graduated from colleges located in India
NRI and foreign nationals may contact the Admissions officer for details of admission
A minimum of 60% is required in the qualifying full time bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution
Candidates appearing for the final examination to be held in April/May and whose results will be available on or before 15th August are also eligible for admission
The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must include a minimum of three years of regular education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalentConsistent academic record in X and XII standard is required
CAT / XAT / MAT / GMAT score is essential
Executive work experience is an advantage but not essential
Scholarship: Students with valid CAT / XAT / GMAT score of 95 percentile and above are eligible for full fee waiver
Students with valid CAT / XAT / GMAT score of 90 percentile and above are eligible for 50% tuition fee waiver
Students with valid MAT score of 99 percentile and above are eligible for full fee waiver
Students with valid MAT score of 95 percentile and above are eligible for 50% tution fee waiver
Admission Procedure: Candidates can apply online at www.vit.ac.in
The short listed candidates will undergo group discussion/personal interview
The group discussion/personal interview will be held at Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Madurai, Patna, Ranchi and Vellore
The selection for admission to both Chennai and Vellore campuses will be made based on the merit of the candidate
The exact date, time and venue of the group discussion/personal interview will be intimated by post/mail
The selected candidate shall pay an advance fee of Rs 10,000/- on the day of the group discussion/ personal interview
Fees: Tuition fee (per annum) Rs 1,50,000/-; special fee (inclusive of examination fee, library fee, etc) (per annum) Rs 65,000/-; total fees (per annum) Rs 2,15,000/-; one time payment of admission fee of Rs 5,000/- and caution deposit (refundable) of Rs 3,000/- will be extra
Foreign Trip: Overseas Experiential Learning Programme (OELP) is compulsory for MBA (IB) students for which an advance of Rs 45,000/- needs to be paid at the time of admission
Students will be charged on actuals after the trip
Accordingly, refund/collection will be done
Payment Mode: All payments are to be made only in the form of a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of VIT University, payable at Vellore, with a cover letter indicating the following information; name of the candidate; programme and campus to which admitted (enclose photocopy of provisional admit card); total amount to be paid; name of the bank, Branch, demand draft number and date
Application Form: Before filling the application form, kindly refer the information brochure carefully

Steps to be followed, if payment through demand draft
Get ready with a computerized demand draft of Rs 900/- drawn from any Nationalised Bank in favour of the VIT University, payable at Vellore
Write your application number, name, address and phone number on the back side of the demand draft
While filling the application form choose the mode of payment mode as demand draft and submit the application form
After the above process, you can able to view the download link to download your application form (.pdf format) with the details filled for taking the print-out
Fill the details of demand draft (like demand draft number, demand draft date, bank name etc) on the printout of filled out application form in the relevant space provided
Send the printout of filled out application form after affixing the photo and signature along with the demand draft (computerized demand draft) addressed to the Director-PG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore-632014, Tamil Nadu, India
Steps to be followed, if payment through (Net Banking/credit card/debit card)
Fill the application form and choose the mode of payment as Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card
After submitting the details with the above payment mode, you will get an option to choose the facility of either Netbanking or Credit Card or Debit Card
Based on the above information, you will get list of bank names to choose for the payment
After choosing your preferred bank, you will be redirected to bank website for the payment
If the online transaction has been successfully completed a application number will be generated and will be viewed to you
You can also able to view the download link below the application number to download your application form (.pdf format) with the details filled for taking the print-out
Send the printout of filled out application form after affixing the photo and signature with addressed to the Director-PG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore-632014, Tamil Nadu
Your application must be complete in all respects
Incomplete application/application without enclosures of CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT score card and certificates or application filled in a language other than English will be summarily rejected
Options given in the application form cannot, in general, be altered at a later stage
You should retain a photocopy of the application form and interview card for your reference
The following original documents are required to be submitted at the time of admission; X/XII standard mark sheets (photocopy); mark sheets of all the semesters/years; qualifying degree/provisional certificate (if already received); transfer certificate obtained from the institute last studied (if already received); CAT/ XAT/MAT/GMAT score card; community certificate (for categories SC/ST) (Photocopy); conduct certificate; provisional admission letter and a photocopy of the fee receipt; four recent passport-size color photographs; an undertaking for good conduct and behaviour in a prescribed form (to be issued by the university at the time of admission); two sets of photocopies of all original certificates
