The Himachal Pradesh Board of education was coming with a motive to provide the secondary education for all the students for completing their future dreams. The Himachal Pradesh board of education was established in 1969 under the Act of No.14 of Himachal Pradesh education Board.The Board has their headquarters in Shimla .And after the year of 1982 , the headquarter is shifted in Dharamshila in Kangara district. The Himachal Pradesh board of education has 34 departments and 21 polytechnics. All the private and public schools were affiliated to the university.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of education provided many books for the students . Some guess paper and other important text books are also provided for the students. The students have some other new departments Like J.B.T., T.T.C and P.V.T.C are also included for the 10^th class students.
