How to Install CleanROM 5.0 on Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3

There are so many Custom ROM’s releasing day by day by the developers, so you might confused that which one to Install or which one to reject. A new ROM called CLEANROM 5.0 is out and can be installed on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3. As the name CleanROM Suggests, this ROM is really great and brings very clean features to your Samsung Galaxy S3.


The CleanROM 5.0 is based on the android’s 4.1 Jellybean Firmware version build VRBLJ1 which is newest of its kind. This custom ROM includes the AROMA Installer, boot animations, battery optimizations and zip align on boot.

Things to Remember

1. This custom ROM is only applicable to Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Model Number SCH-i535 and can’t be applied to the Sprint and AT&T versions of this phone.
2. Backup your Phone First with Titanium Backup pro app or any other backup tool.
3. Your phone should have an unlocked Bootloader with custom recovery (ClockWorkMod recovery or TWRP).
4. Charge your Phone Fully as the process takes time and you don’t want to brick your phone due to battery drain.
5. Don’t forget to disable the Antivirus Program on your phone as well as block Firewalls too on your Windows or MAC.

How to Install CleanROM 5.0 on Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-i535

Step 1 : First of all, Download CleanROM 5.0 (link).
Step 2 : Now copy the downloaded ROM to your SD Card storage by using your standard data cable.
Step 3 : Now switch OFF your Samsung Galaxy S3 and boot in in the custom recovery (ClockworkRecovery MOD).

To boot your phone is custom recovery, Press and Hold the Volume and Power keys together until the screen turns on. Here you can scroll with the Volume keys and select an option with the Power key.

Step 4 : Now make a Nandroid backup of the existing ROM by selecting the options on your Custom Recovery Screen.

Select “Backup and Restore”  > “Backup”

Step 5 : Now you need to Wipe data/ Factory Reset your phone.
Step 6 : Now once you done upto step 5, its turn to install the new ROM from your SD Card. To do so :-

Go for the option ‘install ZIP from SD card > choose ZIP from SD card. Search the ROM and select it to confirm the action. Select the features you want to install when the AROMA installer pops up.

Step 7 : Now select ‘Go Back’ > ‘Reboot system Now’ and the device is going to reboot into the new ROM.
