Admission Notice-2013

Post Graduate Program in Management 2013-15

Eligibility Criteria (CAT based): The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/DA categories), awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions estd by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the MHRD, Govt of India
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree
In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/ CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/institution from where they have obtained the bachelor’s degree
In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be estd by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100
Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply
If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by 30th June, 2013 from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before 30th June, 2013) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate
IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at selection process of IIMs
Selection Process: Candidates seeking admission to the two year PGP of IIM Indore have to purchase the CAT-2012 vouchers from the nearest designated Axis Bank branch and register themselves on thewww.catiim.in during the period 30th July, 2012 to 17th September, 2012
Candidates have to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted during 11th October, 2012to 06th November, 2012
Candidates short listed for written ability test and/or personal interview will be intimated usually by the end of January
Individual regret letters are not sent to applicants who are not called for written ability test and personal interview
IIM Indore conducts admission interviews in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi only
However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centers at any time if the situation so warrants
Admission Procedure: Candidates are short listed for written ability test and/or personal interview on the basis of their performance in CAT, academic record, and relevant work experience
Final selection to the PGP would be based on criteria, such as the candidate’s academic record, scholastic achievements, relevant work experience, and performance in CAT, written ability test, and personal interview
However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the criteria at its discretion
Eligibility Criteria (GMAT based): Admission procedures for international (Foreign Nationals/NRIs) applicants
Candidates who are permanent citizens of a country other than India and residing outside India and Non-Resident Indians who are not in India during CAT-2012 shall be considered as international applicants

Selection Process: A foreign/NRI applicant, seeking admission to two year PGP of IIM Indore can take GMAT in the country of his/her residence and apply for admission in the prescribed application form
The GMAT scores should not be older than two calendar years at the time of applying
The scores of the GMAT taken during 01st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2012 will only be considered for processing
The last date for receipt of complete application packet is 18th January, 2013 for the programme commencing June/July-2013

If an international applicant happened to be foreigner, is selected for admission to the programme, it will be the sole responsibility of the applicant to obtain and submit all the requisite clearance certificates from the Govt of India, such as no objection certificate from the MHRD, Govt of India, etc at the time of joining the programme

Announcement of WAT and PI shortlist: 28th January, 2013, Monday
Conduct of WAT/PI: March/April, 2013
Announcement of final selection: 14th May, 2013, Tuesday
Last date for acceptance of admission offer: 26th June, 2013, Wednesday
Registration for PGP 2013-15 batch: 03rd July, 2013
Commencement of classes: 08th July, 2013, Monday
