MBA Admission-2013
The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIM) was estd in July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi
The institute is an approved B-School of AICTE and affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), KolkataProviding industry with Motivated Young Managers capable of generating wealth for their companies in a competitive environment
Two year full time residential MBA programmeemphasizes on an integrated understanding of theory and practice
Every student has to undergo six weeks summer project during June-July at the end of first year programme
MBA: Marketing, Finance, Systems, Human Resource Management
Seats: 120 students per batch
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to MBA programme is 3 years bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with 50% marks
Candidates of current batch who would be completing all requirements for the bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2013 may also apply
Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally and will be required to produce evidence to establish their eligibility by 31st August, 2013, failing which they will be dropped from the programme
The admission to the AWES professional colleges is for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible Ex-Army personnel and war widows of the Army
Admission Process: The admission to AIM-2013 will be through the common admission test (CAT)conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management
CAT is the first step in the process for seeking admission to AIM
Based on the performance in CAT, candidates will be called for a group discussion and personal interview (GD/PI) to be conducted by AIM at Kolkata
Final merit list is drawn up based on the candidate’s performance in CAT and GD/PI
Application Form: The application form will be filled up properly and submitted to this institute on or before 31st December, 2012
Candidates have to fill up CAT test registration number and centre code number allotted by IIMs in the respective boxes given in the application form of AIM
Application form can also be downloaded and forwarded to this institute along with a demand draft in favour of Director AIM payable at Kolkata of Rs 800/- for Army category and Rs 900/- for general category (including Rs 50/- as postal charges)
A self addressed envelope duly affixed postal stamp will have to be sent for obtaining Receipt and Application Number
