Tripura University  was coming on October 2, 1987 in Tripura. This is a public university which provides higher education in research and technical science. The university is the first university of higher education of the state . The university has its headquarter in Suryamaninagar . The university has many affiliated colleges in many districts.  The university mission to develop the students by providing them excellent education.  The university is recognized by the university grant commission.

The university has a large library system in which all books are available. The university campus is perfect in which all feature  like internet, playground, gym, dispensary etc. the department are  engineering, biology, zoology, chemistry, maths, physics, language, pharmacy etc. the degree courses are ., B.Tech, B.Com, BCA, BBA ,B.ED etc. M.A., MCA, MBA, M.Tech , M.ED. The university conduct many kinds of workshop for the entertainment and development of the students.

Exams and the result both are the main key concept of the education. The university provides extra classes for the weaker students. The  exam is successfully conducted in August, January.
