The TNDTE is one of the technical education boards of the Tamilnadu state. The full name of the board is as Tamilnadu Directorate of Technical Education. The board is situated in the Chennai city of the Tamilnadu state. The board was established by the act of the government of the Tamilnadu state to provide technical education to the students. The board is providing technical education in both diploma and degree courses. The board is providing education facilities for three and four year duration courses.

Many polytechnic colleges of the Tamilnadu state are affiliated with the TNDTE. Every year many students of the Tamilnadu state take admission on the board and get technical education. The board conducts the annual exams for these students in the month of April. After exam the students who appeared in the exams eagerly wait for the exam results.
