The High School Leaving Certificate aka HSLC examination results of Assam were released by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam SEBA on Friday. the Private educational institutions gave their supremacy over govt run schools by claiming most of the high spots.
The top Ten levels were scored by forty one students in all, most of whom were from private run schools. Shankerdev Shishu Niketan & Shankerdev Shishu Vidya Niketan, operated by Shishu Siksha Samiti, Assam, notched the top performance with eleven of their students scoring among these 41 rank holders.
This year in 2012, boys did better than girls. of 278704 students who taken for the exam this year, 72.47% boys secured as compared to girls – 66.85% – a trend reserve to this year’s Higher Secondary exam results, held by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council AHSEC.
A sum of 26203 students qualified the HSLC or matriculation exam in the 1st divn, wheraes 68180 were placed in the 2nd division. A sum of 1630 students hold distinction marks. The quantum of students who secured letter marks & star marks were registered to be 30420 and 5387 respectively.
