Note :
(i) “ Others ” ( i.e Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs / DCs, and BCs ) who have put in 5 years of service in the State / Central Government are not

eligible even if they are within the age limit.
(ii) The Technical and Non – Technical Staff of TANSI who have faced retrenchment and have not been absorbed in the Government Corporations / Undertakings may also

apply, if they are otherwise qualified except age and the relevant age rule will be relaxed by the Government in their favour if they come up for selection.

(iii) In respect of post of Junior Inspector of Co – operative Societies in Co – operative Department paragraph 4 of the ‘ Instructions to candidates ’ will not apply.

(B) Educational Qualification for TNPSC CSSE II Examination 2012 :

Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this Notification / Advertisement viz 02.05. 2012.

Junior Inspector of Cooperative Societies in Cooperative Department :	For Others Higher Secondary Course or Pre-University Examination or A diploma in Rural Services awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education with Co – operation as one of the subjects. For SCs, SC( A )s, STs, MBCs / DCs, BCs, BCMs Minimum general educational qualification ( i.e. S.S.L.C. ) or The certificate of eligibility for College course of studies in the Madras, Madurai and Annamalai Universities issued by the Board of Secondary Education or by any other competent authority. For Supervisors of Cooperative Societies and other non – official employees of co – operative Institutions Minimum general educational qualification. ( i.e. S.S.L.C. ). or The certificate of eligibility for College course of studies in the Madras, Madurai and Annamalai Universities issued by the Board of Secondary Education or by any other competent authority. Explanation : “ Non – Official Employee of Co – operative Institutions ” will mean Inspectors performing duties similar to that of Supervisors of Co – operative Societies and Accountants including Ledger Clerks and Clerks and Secretaries and Managers in Co – operative Institutions.	Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to the candidates possessing such qualifications and in such order as specified below : (1) A degree in Commerce ; or (2) Higher diploma in Co – operative Management awarded by the Natesan Institute of Co – operative Management, Madras or Institute of Co – operative Management, Madurai. Must have undergone a course of training in any of the Co – operative Training Institutes in the State and a pass in the Examinations in Co – operation Auditing, Banking and Bookkeeping conducted by the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Union ; and Must have rendered the service of at least five years as Supervisor or other non – official employee of Co – operative Societies.

C. (B) Physical Efficiency Test for TNPSC Group 2 CSSE Exam 2012 :

Candidates applying for the post of Station Officer, Fire and Rescue Service must undergo and qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test to be conducted by the Fire and Rescue Service Department before they are admitted to the Oral Test. The Date, Time and place of the Physical Efficiency Test will be intimated to the candidates by the Fire and Rescue Service Department.
The programme of the Physical Efficiency Test will consist of the under mentioned 8 Athletic Events given below :

Note :

Out of these eight events, a candidate should select at least five events and qualify herself for admission to the Oral Test by qualifying at least for the One Star Standard in three out of the five events.

General Information for TNPSC Group II Combined Subordinate Services Examination 2012 :

A. The Rule of reservation of appointments applies to this recruitment ( Except for the post of. Assistant Supervisor of Industrial Co – operative Societies ). Distribution of vacancies as per the rule in force will be announced later.

B. In G.O.Ms.No.145, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (S) Department, dated 30.09.2010, the Government have issued orders to fill up 20% of all TNPSC vacancies in Direct

Recruitment on preferential basis to persons studied the prescribed qualification in Tamil Medium. The 20% reservation of vacancies on preferential allotment to Persons Studied in Tamil Medium ( PSTM ) will apply for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission recruitment.

C. The number of TNPSC vacancies advertised is only approximate and is liable for modification with reference to vacancy position at any time before finalisation of selection.

D. If no qualified and suitable women candidates are available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.

E. 5% reservation for “ Ex – Servicemen ” is applicable to TNPSC CSSE Group II recruitment.

F. 3% of reservation for Differently Abled persons is applicable for appointment to the post of Junior
Inspector of Co – Operative Societies in the Co – Operative Department,Assistant Supervisor of Industrial Co-operatives Socieites and post of Store Keeper, Employment & Training ( Training wing ) Department. However, the turnsfor Differently Abled does not arise to the post of Store Keeper in Employment and Training ( Training wing ) Department in this selection.

G. Differently Abled persons should produce a certificate of physical fitness from the Medical Board to the effect that his / her handicap will not render him / her incapable of efficiently discharging the duties attached to the post to which he / she has been selected, before appointment. Differently Abled persons shall not be eligible to apply for the post of Station Officer, in the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Subordinate Service.

H. Reservation of appointment to “ Destitute Widows ” will not apply for recruitment to the post of Station Officer. Reservation of appointment to “ Destitute Widows ” applies for recruitment to the posts of Junior Inspector Co – Operative Societies Assistant Supervisor of Industrial Co – operatives Socieites and Store Keeper in Employment and Training ( Training wing ) Department.

I. Evenafter filling up of the posts reserved for SC Arunthathiyars on preferential basis, if more number of qualified Arunthathiyars are available, they shall be entitled to compete with the Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars in the inter-se merit among them and if any posts reserved for Arunthathiyars remain unfilled for want of adequate number of qualified candidates, it shall be filled up by Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars.

J. Any claim relating to the selection ( not related to candidature or / and claims made in the application ) should be received within 90 days from the date of announcement of results.
Any claim received thereafter will receive no attention.
