Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year (six semester) professional Master's Degree in computer science awarded in India. The course was designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology (computer software). It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree.
The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. It is intended to provide a modern, industry oriented education in applied computer science. It aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the demands of the information technology industry.

University of Pune conduct MCA Entrance Exam for Admission of MCA Program.
Pune University MCA Entrance Exam 2012 Pattern:-
Multiple choice questions are given to the candidates. The given multiple choice questions will be in the form of objective type. The questions will be from Mathematics, English language and also there will be general aptitude questions to check the candidate’s caliber.

Jawaharlal Nehru University conduct separate MCA entrance examination for admission of MCA Programe.
JNU MCA Entrance Exam 2012 Pattern:-
The exam is of MCQ format with different options. The candidates should select the right option for each question with in the 150 minutes. The areas of the question paper is divided into three, Mathematics, General Aptitude and Computer Science. The syllabus of the examination follows that of the higher secondary stream.

JNU MCA Entrance Exam 2012 Eligibility Criteria:-
The candidates should be an Indian citizen with not less than 21 years in age. The minimum education qualification required is graduation from any recognized university with at least 50% mark in the final examination. The candidates must have taken mathematics as a core subject in the Bachelors program or in the higher secondary level. The reservation group will get consideration as per the Government norms. The foreign graduates and the final year aspirants are also eligible for taking the examination. The short listed candidates will have a discussion and personal interview round.
KEE MCA 2012:-
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala conduct Common Entrance Examination for the Master of Computer Applications called (KEE MCA).
KEE MCA 2012 Paper Pattern:-
The exam mode is similar to that of every other MCA entrance examination. It consists of 150 questions in the objective mode and the total time limit is 120 minutes. The candidates will given suitable options and have to select the right one for each question and there will be negative marking for each wrong answer. The areas covered under the examination are:

KEE MCA 2012 Eligibility Criteria for :-
The minimum education qualification required to take the entrance examination is graduation. The candidates must study Mathematics as a subject either in the bachelor’s streams or in the higher secondary level. The candidates appearing for the final year qualifying examination is also eligible to apply for the exam. The candidates should be an Indian national and the minimum age limit is set to be 21 years.
