GITAM University plans Exchange Programmes
GITAM University is planning to start international exchange programmes with world reputed universities to improve its teaching and research activity, Vice - Chancellor G. Subrahmanyam said Visakhapatnam on 7th March, 2012.
The academic collaborations with reputed international universities and research institutions would help the university to enrich the quality of its programmes by tapping the outstanding teaching expertise and incorporating latest curricular developments, Prof. Subramanyam said at a review meeting with senior faculty members.
The university already has tie - up and collaboration with prestigious institutions like West Virginia University ( USA ), University of Glasgow, SUNY ( B ), Central Michigan University, University of Nebraska and Burgundy School of Business.
GITAM University was also laying emphasis on faculty interaction among partner institutions with faculty members spending a term or more at the partner institutions at terms mutually agreed upon.
Pro Vice - Chancellor D. Harinarayana, Registrar M. Potharaju and senior professors participated in the review meeting.
