Bharath University is the private university of Tamil Nadu state. The Bharath University is known as the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and research and Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). The  BIST was established in 1984 . This university become a deemed university in the year of 2003. The university is recognized by the university grant commission. The university has a mission to provide the higher education in research and technical science for the students at different level of study.

There are a  lot of departments are available which provides the knowledge for every student in every of study. The university has all technical education departments which include agriculture, civil engineering, information technology, computer science, electronics and communication, arts, science, commerce, management etc. The university provides the under graduation and post graduation certification courses.  The university offers the B.Tech and M.Tech in various branches. There are some management and diploma courses like MBA, M.Phil, Ph.D etc.

In the university there are a huge amount of students are taking admission in different degree courses. The examination and result declaration process of the university is fair all the transparency should be kept. The university conduct many activities for the development and entertainment of the students. The exams are done in semester format in the month of June and December.
