Where under this scheme the applicant can apply for new ration card by depositing rupees 100/- as a processing fee and receive it in 2 days thereafter.

How To Apply For New Ration Card :
- To apply for new ration card the applicant has to go to the nearest rationing circle office.
- Take the form no 1 to apply for ration card
- Fill in the information required along with three passport size photos of the head of the family duly attested by the gazette officer.
- Provide an address proof or a NOC from the landlord in case of tenant.
- One has to also provide income proof to apply for ration card.
- Also give a certificate of surrender / deletion that mentions that the applicant doesn’t hold a ration card and requires one.
- Applicant needs to pay 50 paisa to one rupee depending on the processing fee charged to apply for ration card.
- To add a name one has to provide the birth certificate/ deletion form in case of marriage.
- Deletion in the name of any family member is done on the same day.

1. 3 photographs ( passport size ) of head of family attested by any gazetted officer
2. Residencial proof-

Registration Deed, Allotment Letter, House TAx Receipt, Power of Attorney, Electricity Bill, Water Bill etc.
In Case of Tenant -
No Objection Certificate of Land lord or any other relevent document
3. Old Ration Card, Surrender/Deletion certificate of the previous card.
4. Rs.25/- as Non refundable fee.

Then an inspector or a food supply officer would check his details and inform back to the ration card office.
After a month if his details are correct then he will be issued a ration card under the particular ration card circle office. One needs to come and collect his ration card at this ration card office. Even for further correction like adding a name or deleting a name he has to come to this ration card circle office. On top of it even to collect his monthly ration one needs to come to the same ration card circle office. All ration card circle office have got a time limit that’s from morning to evening so all the consumers are suppose to get their work done in the same time pattern. Even to cancel the ration card an applicant needs to come to the ration card office. A ration card office opened in every area was a state government concern towards the people below poverty line so that they don’t have to run far to avail the essential commodities that are provided to them at a reasonable rate.
