EAMCET, which stands for Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test, is an entrance examination required for admission to engineering and medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Other colleges offering graduation courses like BDS, B.Pharm., BSc., Pharm.D. etc. too require qualification in this exam. EAMCET 2012 is scheduled to be held on 12th May 2012 (Saturday).
Eligibility to appear for EAMCET 2012
The minimum eligibility required to appear for EAMCET are:
- A Pass in intermediate examination or registered for intermediate public examination (10 + 2 ) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent.
- In case of such students who appear for the entrance test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.
- Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (regulations for admission).
- There is no upper age limit for Medical and Engineering aspirants to take EAMCET.
This year EAMCET will be conducted by JNTU Hyderabad, important details are yet to be updated by APSCHE, we will update as the information on application forms and dates for submission are made available.
This year EAMCET forms are likely to be available only online; APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education) has already collected data of all Intermediate students. Applicant only needs to enter his or her Intermediate hall ticket number the data will be filled automatically except for few fields.
